Designated as the Honor Degree of the Veterans of the Foreign Wars of the United States, the Military Order of the Cooties is a subordinate order of the parent organization composed of VFW members in good standing. The MOC was established for the primary purpose of creating a "fun degree" within the parent body but who are dedicated to serious purposes.
Pup Tent #2 (NORFOLK CRABS) was chartered on January 1st, 1972 by the Supreme organization of the Military Order of the Cootie.

Membership:
The Military Order of the Cootie is the Honor Degree of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW).
The prerequisite for being a member of the Military Order of the Cootie (MOC) is to be a member in good standing of the VFW, having served as a Post officer, either elected or appointed, or holding a position contributing to the VFW.
Only active members of a VFW Post are invited to join a Pup Tent which is under the control of a Seam Squirrel.
